Every month some of us go through a few days of Cramps! Finding the solution that works for you is the trick to a happy girl.

Here are a few suggestions that we’ve gathered:

Bananas

…are rich in Potassium that will help relieve cramps they are also
loaded with vitamin B-6 that will help with water retention.
There are many other foods that may relieve some discomfort:

Wheat Germ

…concentrated source of B-6, other B vitamins, high amounts of
vitamin E and magnesium as well a zinc.

Sunflower seeds

…loaded with vitamin E as well as the key anti-cramping
minerals zinc and magnesium. Sunflower seeds are also an excellent source of
pyridoxine (vitamin B6).

Parsley

…contains apiol, a compound that has been shown stimulate the
menstrual process and relieving menstrual cramps.

Pineapple

…contains bromelain, an enzyme that is thought to help relax
muscles and thus help with menstrual cramps.

Fenugreek Seeds

…a natural analgesic that bring great relief. Fenugreek seeds along with a glass of warm water 3-4 days before your period starts has been said to reduce the muscles and thus reduce cramping.

Ginger

…in traditional Chinese medicine, ginger has been widely used as a
remedy for menstrual cramps.

Walnuts

…rich in the healthy omega-3 fatty acids which are known to have
anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. Also loaded with vitamin
B6.

Spinach

…provides an ample supply of many nutrients that have been shown to
fight menstrual cramps, including vitamin E, vitamin B6, and magnesium.

Oats

…loaded with the anti-cramping mineral magnesium. They are also one of
the best sources of dietary zinc for women.

Kale

…one of the best plant-based sources of calcium. Some experts believe
that calcium’s ability to alleviate pain associated with menstruation could
be related to the role of this important mineral in maintaining normal
muscle tone.
